2018 AARP Community Challenge Awards Announced

The AARP Community Challenge is awarding grants to fund quick-action projects — in areas such as housing, transportation, and public space — that spark change and build momentum toward improved livability for all residents. If your idea is big, no project is too small! Grants can range from several hundred dollars for small, short-term activities to several thousand for larger projects. NewAlliance Bank Offers Home Ownership Support


This New Haven-based foundation provides support to the non-profit community in four key areas, including Community Development, and targets “programs and initiatives that support and encourage affordable housing and/or, expand home ownership opportunities, leading to safe, economically viable neighborhoods”, as one of its many funding priorities. Bank of America Charitable Foundation Offering Nonprofit Grants

The Bank of America Charitable Foundation is offering grants for nonprofits working to address issues pertaining to community development. Examples of funding priorities include: Affordable Housing (housing, home buyer education, homeowner retention, financial stability), Neighborhood Preservation (addressing distresses properties and blight), and Community Revitalization (comprehensive place-based revitalization, community anchors, fostering green communities, transit-oriented development and economic development).
