The Connecticut Housing Coalition is sponsoring a professional development training opportunity entitled Communication to Build a Movement—A Training to Shift Public Understanding of Affordable Housing, as a follow up to its 2014 Annual Conference. The training session, which will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 from 9:00-4:30 at The Lyceum, 277 Lawrence Street, Hartford, CT, will focus on framing and messaging to change the dynamics of public support for affordable housing. The cost of the training is $50. CDC staff, municipal employees, housing authority staff and resident representatives, nonprofit developers, supportive housing staff, homeless service providers, advocates, policy makers, state agency staff and funders are all encouraged to attend.
