NeighborhoodWorks Conference Coming to Manchester in May

The Manchester Department of Leisure, Families and Recreation will be hosting a “pop-up” NeighborhoodWorks! conference on May 27th at Nathan Hale School from 9-4 p.m. This community building conference will focus on building neighborhoods that work for everyone.

The NeighborhoodWorks! Conference is open to anyone interested in knowing more about creating connected, safe, healthy, beautiful, and generous communities where they live, work, or attend school. Professional community builders; activists; town, school and agency staff; and neighborhood residents from all backgrounds are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Bill DeMaio, Superintendent of Newington Parks and Recreation, will provide the program’s keynote address entitled “Creating Thriving Neighborhoods One Relationship at a Time”.  The conference will also feature learn tract sessions on neighborhood relations, wellness, engagement, beautification and sharing, a moderated panel discussion and a Lunch LearnShop Tour focusing on repurposing public buildings for the public good.
